Nepal has beaten Kenya by seven wickets at the ICC World League Cricket Championship that took place at the TU cricket ground at Kirtipur today.
Nepal, in its second match against Kenya, hit a 156-run target with 118 balls to spare losing three wickets in 30.2 overs.
Nepali squad played under the captaincy of Gyanendra Malla. Deependra Singh Aiyar secured the win credited to his strong partnership with Malla despite the fear of conceding after Sunil Dhamala and Sagar Pun were out of the match.
Nepal had lost to Kenya by five wickets in the rain-spoiled first match on March 11.
This win in the second match has kept alive Nepal’s hope of qualifying to the World Cup Cricket. Nepal will now play against Hong Kong and U.A.E.
Nepal is in sixth place with eight points from nine matches while Kenya is in fifth place with 10 points. RSS
