Nepal hammered 9 goals to nothing against Maldives to reach the semi-final of the 4th SAFF Women’s Championships football tournament in India.

Double hat-trick scorer from Nepal’s first match against Bhutan, Sabitra Bhandari, continued to display her scoring prowess. She added another hat-trick to her name by the end of the first half and went on to add two more goals to make it 11 in total so far in the championship.

The win puts Nepal firmly at the top of Group A with 6 points followed by Maldives and Sri Lanka who will play for the second spot. While Bhutan sits at the bottom of the group after two losses.
