AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers match between Nepal and Yemen ended with a goalless draw.

Nepal and Yemen shared a point each after neither side managed to score a goal at Halchowk-based Armed Police Force stadium in the Capital on Tuesday.

4-1 loss in the previous match against Philippines two months ago and the draw in today’s match puts Nepal languishing in third place in Group F of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

Yemen sits at the top of the group with four points while Philippines second with three points. Tajikistan is yet to garner a point.

Meanwhile, although the match ended in draw, Nepal’s head coach Gyotoku Koji lauded and termed performance of Nepali players ‘excellent’.

Nepal’s goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong was announced man of the match.

The qualifiers will be held in United Arab Emirates. RSS
