Morgan College suffered defeat in the hands of Quest Int’l College while IST won against KIST to finish top of Group A at the St. Xavier’s Cup College Basketball.
Morgan College made a good start, looked very energetic, took the lead and opened a margin of 9 points in the first quarter. But their 10 point lead at the beginning of the second quarter soon disappeared. And they were left on the back foot for the remainder of the match as they suffered their second defeat in the tournament.
By the end of the second quarter, Quest had turned things around and they were the ones leading — Prazun Pokharel the architect scoring 13 of the 23 points in the second quarter.
Pokharel who was happy to sit back in the first quarter, further went on to add 11 points in the second half to secure win for Quest Int’l College. Pokharel went on to win the man of the match prize.
Final score: Quest 57-47 Morgan (13-22, 23-07, 09-06, 12-11).

In the second match on day 6 of the St. Xavier’s Cup 2017, International School of Tourism and Hotel Management (IST) earned their second win with the defeat of KIST College (IST 52-38 KIST).
Their second win in a group of 3 teams, means IST has qualified to the next round as Group A winner while KIST exit the tournament. Presidential Business School (PBS) finishes as group runner up.
