SXC Cup 2017: British College, PBS record their first win

British College and the Presidential Business School (PBS) recorded their first wins on day 3 of the St. Xavier’s College Inter-College Basketball Tournament 2017.

British College defeated Quest Int’l College; while PBS earned a landslide victory over KIST College.

British College comfortably led the first quarter by 7 points but a fight back in the second quarter saw Quest closing the gap before the half-time break.

Unfortunately Quest College couldn’t keep up the pressure. Prazun Pokharel went on to score 24 points for Quest but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.

British College built back the margin in the third quarter and just about hung on to start their SXC Cup 2017 campaign with a win. Sanam Lama contributed 20 points for British College and went on to receive man of the match prize.

In the late fixture, PBS bounced back from their defeat in the opener with a convincing win over KIST.

Featuring the likes of Nischal Maharjan and Prayush Shrestha, PBS proved head and shoulders above their counterpart.

In addition, poor shooting from KIST made it far too easy for PBS as they went on to record their first win.
Nischal Maharjan finished the game as the highest scorer with 22 points. He was also awarded the man of the match prize.
