Organisers of National-Level Basketball League (NLBL) have announced January 26, 2018 as the deadline date for teams to register their players.
Play For Deprived Children Nepal (PDCN) one of the orgainsers of the upcoming NLBL men’s basketball league made the announcement in a news letter to Arko Network. The NLBL will be organised in association with the basketball governing body of Nepal, NeBA.
Each team will be allowed to register up to 14 players. The news letter reads, “We will not add or change the players once it (registration form) is submitted”.
However, there are no information available at this point on the clubs right to sign foreign players. Arko network has learned that at least one team is planning to sign up foreign players. One team official has claimed that the organisers have said that they are allowed to sign foreign players. While another official representing another team claimed that he was unaware of the rules on signing foreign players.
PDCN has also requested all teams to deposit Rs. 20,000 as security deposit which will be refunded after deducting fines and penalties incurred during the league.
We are assuming that the organisers have already sent out links to related forms prior to releasing the news letter. If teams have not received it they can download it here.
