Capital College and Research Centre (CCRC) defeated Morgan Int’l College to finish top of their group at the ongoing HISSAN Basketball 2017.
In a surprisingly low score match, CCRC fared slightly better of the two. Neither side looked sharp on the scoring front despite the defense not being at their best.
Morgan boys’ were able to get the ball into low post areas quite often but their shooting failed them. Mid-range shots proved just as poor.
CCRC produced moments of brilliance but in general, it was a poor showing.
Having said that, both teams had already qualified for the knockout phase of the tournament prior to their meeting and this match probably didn’t hold much weight for them.
In other matches in the boys’ category, Global College of Management defeated Hrit at home to book their place in the knockout rounds. Greenfield also qualified for the next round with the defeat of Modern College (Bhaktapur).
Meanwhile in the girls’ category Xavier Int’l defeated Herald.
