The direct Pokhara-Beni-Jomsom transport service has come into operation from Wednesday.
The Muktinath Darshan Pvt Ltd has launched the direct service with a total investment of Rs 90 million with 27 SUVs ready to ply the road.
Former parliamentarian Chandra Bahadur Gurung and Sipradi Trading’s General-Manager Pravin Khatiwada inaugurated the service.
Two jeeps (SUVs) from Jomsom to Pokhara and five from Pokhara to Jomsom were flagged off on the inaugural day, said Muktinath Darshan Pvt Ltd’s Chair Mahendra Thakali.
The Pokhara-Beni-Jomsom direct transport service is launched with a view of facilitating the transportation services for the public and tourists alike.
Each vehicle can accommodate upto nine passengers and the fair to and from Pokhara-Jomsom is priced at Rs 690 per passenger. RSS
